LC Galbraith integrates her clinical training and artistic expertise to create trauma-informed, bibliotherapeutic resources for children (of all ages) and families. As a therapist, LC designs each book using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, blending narrative therapy, expressive arts therapy, and future-planning interventions to support emotional healing and developmental growth.

 LC's illustrations are intentionally crafted using principles of art therapy—designed to create visual safety, promote co-regulation, and foster emotional expression. Her work invites children to process complex experiences through image, story, and reflection.

Her lived personal and professional experiences give her deep understanding of trauma, child abuse, grief, adoption triad dynamics, and family disruption, as well as child goal setting.

Through The Helping Books®, LC provides vulnerable children and families with therapeutic tools that encourage emotional resilience, self-worth, skill-building, and hope for the future—delivered through compassionate, accessible, and developmentally informed storytelling.

Diana is widely recognized as one of the most compassionate and effective therapists in the field. With a career spanning both public service and private practice, she brings extensive clinical experience working with children, families, veterans, and justice-involved individuals. Her work  has equipped her with the skills to guide clients through some of life’s most complex and painful challenges.

Rooted in a trauma-informed and holistic framework, Diana’s approach integrates mind, body, and spirit. 

As the therapeutic lead for The Helping Books®, Diana will oversee clinical development and contribute her insight to our expanding library of bibliotherapeutic workbooks. Her commitment to making mental health support more accessible and meaningful ensures that our publications are not only beautifully crafted—but also clinically sound.
