Books That Help in a Complicated World

The Helping Books® is a mission-driven initiative dedicated to empowering children—both young and old—through original bibliotherapeutic books that blend therapeutic storytelling, expressive art, and clinical insight. Developed in collaboration with a team of therapists, educators, and medical professionals, these thoughtfully crafted resources address the emotional, psychological, and developmental needs of vulnerable populations.

Our series titles include:

  • My Name is NOT Fosterkid® – Helps children in foster care reclaim their identity and understand their rights, emotions, and life transitions.

  • Growing Up Is Hard to Do – Guides youth through the emotional and practical challenges of growing up with compassion and clarity. -To be given with CPS visits a home for an investigatoin.

  • Parenting After Serving – Supports veterans and their families as they reintegrate into family life, providing tools to reconnect and parent with confidence.

  • You Are Worthy – A self-esteem and identity series designed to build inner strength, self-respect, and a sense of belonging in every child.

  • How to Talk to Your Child About War – Helps military and civilian families explain conflict, deployment, and global events in developmentally appropriate ways.

These bibliotherapeutic workbooks explore essential topics such as self-protection strategies, grief, trauma recovery, healthy relationships, emotional regulation, parenting with love, life skills, building community, and goal setting.

The Helping Books® is a catalyst for transformation—providing children and families with the knowledge, confidence, and community they need to reclaim their futures.
