Are you a Master of Social Work (MSW) student passionate about storytelling, mental health, and making a real impact? We’re currently seeking MSW interns to join our growing team at The Helping Books®—a collection of beautifully illustrated, therapeutic books designed to support individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with a team of therapists, writers, and creatives to:

✨ Contribute to the development of healing, age-appropriate bibliotherapeutic content
✨ Offer trauma-informed insight into topics such as grief, anxiety, foster care, identity, and more
✨ Help shape resources that bring comfort, clarity, and emotional support to readers of all ages
✨ Gain experience in writing, program development, and community-focused mental health tools

This is a unique opportunity to merge clinical practice with creative therapeutic work—while contributing to a mission-driven organization devoted to empathy, empowerment, and healing.

• Interns must be enrolled in an accredited MSW program

Do you have a passion for storytelling, healing, and securing resources for meaningful work? The Helping Books® is currently seeking experienced Grant Writers to join our mission of bringing comfort, clarity, and emotional support to children, families, and communities through bibliotherapy.

As a grant writer, you’ll play a key role in helping us grow our impact and expand access to our beautifully illustrated therapeutic books—designed to guide readers through grief, anxiety, trauma, identity, foster care, and more.

We’re looking for individuals who are:
✨ Skilled at writing compelling, values-driven grant proposals
✨ Passionate about mental health, literacy, and trauma-informed care
✨ Comfortable collaborating with a small, visionary team
✨ Motivated to help build something deeply meaningful from the ground up

🎯 Responsibilities Include:

• Researching, identifying, and prioritizing funding opportunities
   
• Writing and submitting well-crafted proposals, LOIs, and reports
   
• Collaborating with leadership to shape funding narratives
   
• Assisting in the development of budgets and outcome measurements

Bring Healing Stories to the World Through Strategic Storytelling

The Helping Books® is looking for a visionary, hands-on Marketing Manager to help lead and grow our brand as we expand our collection of therapeutic books designed to support children, families, and communities through life’s most difficult moments.

This is more than just a marketing job—it’s a chance to help share stories that heal, educate, and empower. You'll be instrumental in helping us reach new audiences, secure funding, and build a recognizable brand grounded in compassion, equity, and emotional well-being.

🎯 In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement brand and content strategy across social, web, email, and print
   
• Manage campaigns for book launches, fundraising, and awareness initiatives
   
• Create meaningful storytelling that reflects our mission and amplifies our impact
   
• Collaborate with designers, writers, therapists, and leadership to bring our vision to life
   
• Analyze engagement and growth metrics to improve outreach and reach key goals
   
• Oversee community engagement, partnerships, and digital presence

• Passionate about mental health, education, and trauma-informed care
   
• Skilled in strategic communication, storytelling, and creative branding
   
• Experienced in nonprofit or mission-based marketing (preferred)
